Maeva was born in Monaco, summer of 1989. After graduating from high school, She spent a year in Scotland to improve her spoken English skills before coming to California, USA, and applying to Art Center College of Design. Maeva was accepted as a Ford scholar and she started in the summer of 2011, after 2 years at Art Center at Night, to build a transportation design portfolio.
Currently 6th term at Art Center, Maeva is passionate about motor sport racing such as Rally WRC and Motocross.
Not an artist to begin with, she didn't start sketching before the age of 18, her passion for cars and transportation is what drives her to perform better every day.
Her goal upon ACCD curriculum completion is to join the car design field and provide solutions to social and economic problems, from design to the product planning and engineering standpoint.
' “Cars have souls”, I kept telling everyone as a child. I have always found it fascinating that such machine, known as car, could generates such emotions to human being. Originally from Europe and Born in Monaco, I have always been surrounded by cars and their culture. Doing competitive stage rallye at the age of 15 made me realize how much the mechanical design aspects influence the exterior visual design of the car. Changing a broken control arm on the side of the road during a rallye stage really opened my eyes to how closely these two very different sides of design complement each other.'
